HALFORD Guitarist 'METAL' MIKE CHLASCIAK Launches Second Installment Of Metal Performance Program
January 15, 2014HALFORD guitarist "Metal" Mike Chlasciak has launched the second installment of his metal performance program, Metal Heroes Workshop.
Metal Heroes Workshop is designed for metal players of all ages who look to develop their skills and further understand the techniques used in heavy metal songs. The sessions are divided into 17-and-under, and 18-and-over age groups.
After a month-long session of weekend rehearsals, participants then take their skills and perform a show with Metal Mike at a rock venue to experience playing in front of a live audience.
Metal Mike commented: "Metal Heroes Workshop is all about heavy metal, period.
"We offer players a really cool place with great-sounding gear that is staffed with metalhead instructors.
"The School Of Rock in Wayne, New Jersey is a perfect place where students can look forward to meeting up and know that enthusiasm for this style of music is supported.
"During each session, students study the music of their favorite metal artists and build a repertoire in order to perform a live show.
"Most musicians love this idea as finding others to play with is one of the most common obstacles they struggle with.
"If you add a live show, then we have something that completes the whole cycle and offers something truly amazing.
"I want them to experience playing with a full PA, monitors, lights, smoke machine, an audience — the works."
Metal Heroes Workshop is open to guitar, vocals, bass and drums and the final show takes place on Sunday, March 16 at Dingbatz Club in Clifton, New Jersey.
The next session launches on Saturday, February 15.
In related news, Mike will join metalhead comedian Jim Breuer on the Shiprocked 2014 rock and roll cruise, set to sail the seas of the Bahamas January 26-30. Mike will join Jim's band for two shows of original metal.
East Coast metal fans will get a chance to see Metal Mike perform this Saturday at the live version of "That Metal Show" taking place at Mexicali Live in Teaneck, New Jersey. Mike will perform a brief set consisting of tracks from his "The Metalworker" solo album.
